Well, first use CPU-Z or a similar program to show what hardware you have on the computer, and Google every individual component for drivers. Also, you could go to the manufacturer's website and search for it there. What kind of computer is this? After using CPU-Z, post your specs here, please.

If you can't find driver disks because of the age of your pc, I doubt you can run Vista...

Vista would work, but not necessarily be your best bet..
(If it was built for XP, reinstall XP and go from there.)

not you again. read what karakawe posted and answer me one question - do you have xp or vista currently on your computer, and if you have xp, why the hell would you want vista? if your computer is as old and a piece of crap as you say, i doubt you're going to find vista drivers for your pieces of hardware.

if you have no idea what you're doing, go take your computer to someone who knows what they're doing.

Hey, don't get angry, guys. D:
You should be able to find drivers for your hardware components on your manufacturer's website, although there may not be versions for Vista. Depending on the website, look in a Support section and find a link for drivers. Just have them on a disk or somewhere you can access them (without relying on having internet) and run each file one-by-one after Windows installs.

Technically, a flash drive is a disk. Wink
But yes, that's just fine.
