I got my RocketDock.<3
But now I want to download a dark theme and everything to match.
I dl'ed a theme I wanted and went threw the correct steps but I end up
getting to this.

And I can't seem to find my windows XP disc.
Any other way to get themes on my computer?

Like in the UxTheme patcher instructions, just ignore that screen or click Cancel and let the patcher continue to do its thing.

I did let it run normally. But when I go to click my theme then apply it, it says "The visual styles could not be applied.
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

That's the one I have, but I keep getting this Fuc~ing error and it's pissing me off.

UXTheme is a different thing, Not the one I linked you to.
I had it for a while and it worked perfectly (Windos XP home edition SP2)

Just don't install the vista sidebar (not included with this theme) but there is a vista side bar that lags the shit out of u if u install it lol.

Go to the link cal17 provided and install the Bricopack. Ignore the UXtheme patch, it's unnecessary when you use one of them.
Also, is it possible the "now-noticed" lag is placebo, that you were expecting it so you saw it, or just didn't notice before? (Not calling you a liar!)
