what is hex code hacking?

hex code hacking? dont know, but all the address that you search for in CE are all in the hex code.

Hex uses 0-9 and a-f

oh, there is this game call crimsonland and you have to hex code hack it to get some secret guns which is the only way accessible to them :/ anyone know how i can do that? i can make myself shoot insanely fast and the basics such as ammo and hp and make all the bonuses last forever :/ but i dunno how to hex code hack it

GoEasyOnMe, sometimes the name of a hack doesn't say anything about what the hack does are in a very advanced way.

If the game we are talking about is a offline game then the way to get fast shooting will be like this:

What they mean with Hex Code hacking probably is pressing "memory view" on your CE when attacht to the process. Then you get Hex and ASM. If you know what to do (understand ASM) you can make more advancde hacks.

ya ya something like that, but i found the gun adress so i can get any weapon i want, but now that i know what hex hacking is then i want to know what ASM mean mind if u explain ur self best buddy?

xD explaining ASM.. Asm requiers a lot of time to learn. Take a look at the asm tutorial for the little little basic (2 times little i know).

After reading that and you still want to learn asm i suggest you rent/buy a book.

But i warn you, this won't be as easy as learning how to find adresses

hex is just numbers in base 16 because thats the base they found was handy for the hardware and programming ( dont ask )

decimal is base 10


decimal counting (base 10) = 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 ......then of course you get the tens and hundreds like your used to,


hex counting (base 16) = 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F......then it goes into 16's instead of tens,

so from 0 to 9 it is the same as it is for decimal then it uses A to F to represent the decimal values 10 to 15,

so if you look in memory view in cheat engine you will see all the numbers from 0 to 9 looking the same as you would in decimal ie 00 and 09

and the numbers higher than that are
hex / decimal

0A = 10
0B = 11
0C = 12
0D = 13
0E = 14
0F = 15


then in decimal for 10 you have 1 ten and 0 units
11 you have 1 ten and 1 units

for hex you have 16's instead of ten's
so

in hex 10 is .........one 16 plus 0 units = 16 decimal

in hex 11 is .........one 16 plus 1 unit = 17 decimal

now you can search with the hex box checked for hex values,

or as most cheats that use hex use an array of bytes to find a cheat, you can use the array of bytes search option in cheat engine,
