You don't have 4 processors, you have 4 cores.
You don't multiply the clock speed by the number of cores.

8/10
Crap GPU.
I'd deal with the rest, much better than what I have.

OEM based system won't let him overclock anyway so why bother getting a Q6600 based on old technology?

The Q8200 would be the next one up based on the newer technolgy and its placed in the same price range as the Q6600

Rig score: 7/10

+ Comes with the OS and support
- Low end graphics

You could get a Radeon HD 4670 for about $80. Going a step up, there's the 4830, where the cheapest models are $108 and $110, the HIS and Sapphire models, respectively.

PC Power & Cooling 500W Silencer
Antec 300
Asus P5T Mobo
Q6600 (OCed to 3.2 GHz)
4GB of DDR2-800 (8GB = $40 more)
Radeon 4870
1TB HDD (Seagate or Western Digital)

All for under $1000. OEMs suck.

/r/ing original content. It's a low end quad-core but it's not old, and there are a hell of a lot of worse things to have. The four extra gigabytes of memory are something to note as unnecessary, but not necessarily something to put against a build. I'm not sure why 1TB was commented as "bleh", but I'm going to assume it's personal experience and not comment further. The GPU is a weak point of his system, along with the fact that it's an OEM model. The computer could be a hell of a lot worse, and you guys flame too much for your own good.

I would like to correct you...

Only failed stupid marketing scammers ( not you Razz ), say that a quad-core is "4 Processors"... because it IS NOT. It is four cores. Which is different than 4 processors.

Besides that, it's not bad.

Well he didnt say that he got that information straight from a system report, hence the "You Have: 2.33 GHz Performance Rated at 8.75 GHz"

Anyway i'd give it a 8/10 for multimedia and performance, if you want to play games well you will need to get a better graphics card, dont get a cheap one like a 9500, try and get one similar to a 8800 series (ive seen them go for about £65, ($110-ish) or one of the newer ATi ones like someone else suggested.

And will people stop flaming him he and telling him his Pc sucks because he didnt buy the best processor, it doesnt mean his one is bad. and in no way is more ram or more hard drive space a negative.

It makes me laugh at those sales men who says how quad core works when a customer is buying a system.

This is a quad core!
Each core runs at 2GHz, so for a quad it's 8GHz!

Too bad I can't just go to them and say your wrong and scream like a lunatic "you're not suppose to combine the speeds from each core"!

These aren't even complete specs.
PSU and mobo? I'm guessing that you use onboard sound? cd/dvd/bluray?
so far it's a 4/10 because the only thing worth noticing is your hd and i guess your cpu.
