so... what i need help with is my computer. It has that epic restart problem.
my information on it is..
Cpu:Microsoft XP Home Edition
had computer for: 1-2years
problem started:6 months after buy
also.. the company i bought it from: Pc Club

More information i know is... my computer sometimes makes this chirpy like sound. It does not over heat. When i turn it on it restarts anywhere from
1-20+times
It won't let me play games like runescape, maplestory, ect...
it won't let me burn or even put CDs in without restarting (restarts like a bazzilion times)

right now my mom thinks if we take out the CD drive (original source of restart we believe) it will work. what you think?

Oh wow. I suggest you scan the stuff you want to save (cause virus' can infect other files too) and put them in a usb stick. Then reformat.

also... about the computer restart...
because the computer makes a chirpy sound (inside obviously)
and the restart originally generated in the cd driver, do you think its a good idea 2 take it out?

Hmm, interesting. A virus must have done some hardware damage, has it?

You could try taking out the CD drive, if you haven't already done so.

1) Remove all those viruses
2) Remove Maple Story
3)Reformat

If problem's still occur after reformat then it would mean it's your hardware... Or driver's.....

I would reformat in this case..

CD Drive might not be the cause for the restarting..

Just Pop your OS disk in and press Reformat
basically it "formats" your whole harddrive so you have nothing on it and installs a fresh new copy of the OS, which in your case is Windows

Note that there's no "Reformat" button. When setup loads, delete the partitions on your hard drive (making sure no peripheral drives are in your computer, including usb and thumb drives), create a new one with all the space you can use (which is default when you make a new partition), and choose to install on that partition. Setup will "copy files", restart, and you should be able to figure out the rest.
