idk if i can play the game
i played the games Left for dead, COD4, COD world at war, Fallout3, Need for speed prostreet, and Far Cry 2 can i play GTA IV on everything LOW?

It got cracked the same day, so fail @ them.

The game will probebly lag a bit with lowest settings with your comp.

there's really no way whatsoever to stop games being cracked.
The only way they could even attempt it is by forcing them to connect online to rockstar while playing (even single player), but then they would cost even more because of server costs and even that would probably be cracked eventually.

Don't want to go off-topic about the protection, but im pretty sure rockstar got a refund.

The recommended system requirements includes a C2Q 2.4GHz or Phenom x3 2.1GHz, I think.
I failed that, but run the game fine with an E8400 @ 4.05GHz.
It was either stupid or smart of Rockstar to make a game that little hardware out now can support at its fullest potential. I mean, when higher power is more commonplace, there'll have been newer games out. Probably more than a few greats.
