Sorry to ask such a question here but I find myself unable to find a ram editor for linux. I searched for ram editor linux and "ram editor" Linux on google but all i found were hell a lot of websites that do have windows ram editor and other tools for linux. On my distri's (suse 9.0) CDs there isn't one either. Sorry I really couldn't think of any better place to ask then here...So...does anybody here know one?

Try GDB (http://www.gnu.org/software/gdb/gdb.html)
Of course, it's not only a memory editor, but it does have a memory edit function
(I think it comes with most distros)

It's often hard finding a program when you don't know its name...i was unable to find it using google but it exists anyways...hey that reminds me of cheat engine btw, you hardly find it when googling for a ram editor...but if you know the name, cheat engine, it's easy to find it.
And yeah it was in my distri...but I didn't find it because i searched for memory editor and ram editor, in the description it says debugger and therefore it couldn't have been found by my stupid search.
Thank you very much for your help... (damn i feel like I'm abusing your kindness by always asking such stupid questions )
