I know that quad-core CPUs are generally a 5.9 on the Windows Experience Index, and a number of AMD dual-cores are as well, but I haven't seen a C2D chip score a 5.9. An E8400 @ 3.6GHz doesn't, but some lower AMDs do. Any of you have a 5.9 with a Core 2 Duo? (This is only out of curiosity..)
EDIT:
Still 5.8 at 4GHz. >: |

you can't get a 5.9 with a c2d, I've never seen a AMD dual do it either tbh. _________________

lulz, they also say amd have the best performing CPU...
also, if having a 5.9 is important to you, do this.
go to: C:\\windows\performance\winSAT\datastore and edit the newest one with wordpad.

I think that list is by recent activity, not actual performance. Sadly, I don't think it'll happen with a C2D, although there are a few dual-core C2Es on that list. I've got my E8400 @ 4.5GHz and nothing, so I guess it's a huge conspiracy. Thanks for the tip, but I'm not going to obsess over it. Was just wondering since some C2Es at much lower clocks and some poorer-performing AMDs were getting 5.9s. I'd be willing to say that it's by model, less the actual tests. |
