Hey there, I have a problem with the sound on my laptop.
I was watching a movie while i was installing an update for my bluetooth (GUI, features and more.), and then i had to reboot so the new additions could take effect. After the reboot I wanted to catch up on my movie, and suddently my sound wasn't working, at all. I turned up on the volume control on the outside of my laptop, I turned it up in the tray, I resat the sound settings to defualt via Controle Panel, I updated all the drivers.
Nothing worked. My laptop has been still, no shakes, no bumping into stuff, no nothing.
What could be wrong?
It seriously pisses me off, my laptop makes my pendling time go faster. I have 3 hours to- and from school.
Any help would be appreciatet.
And when we're at the problems;
My LAN port doesn't work either. I was at a LAN party a month ago, and then I plugged in my LAN cable (bought it 30 minutes before using it). It worked perfectly, untill Windows wanted me to reboot, so I did.
After i rebooted, I was missing internet. I thought "maybe Vista deactivated it", but apparently I was wrong. My LAN port isn't ruined, it's intact, like when I bought it. But it doesn't work. I tried booting a Live version of Xubuntu, but it didn't work either. Like i stated before, the computer didn't recieve any shocks, bumps, nothing.
Again, any help would be appreciated.
I will not stretch myself to buy new hardware, because the shit wont work anyway, plus that it's so expensive for laptops, and my warranty gets voided.

Vista probably asked you to reboot to install some drivers.
Maybe those drivers were f***ed up?
