I ask this because about a year ago i set up my laptop to my old moniter... then my dad came in and was like does that bother you i'm like does what bother me? Then he says the fact that you have two screens? Then i said yeah but what can i do about it? Then he pressed a function key and the screen turned off but i could still see my screen on the monitor so basically my dad made my laptop screen dissapear so i wasn't distracted by more then one screen... Which button did he push because i want to be able to use my laptop in my Living room cuz i'm playin zelda and i need to look up stuff while i'm playing lol.. but could someone tell me the key to press oh and if it helps i have an 8 year old Dell laptop lol. OLD HUH? Laughing

all your "Fn" keys should have writing or a little picture on them.

Only 5 of them do and like i said it's 8 years old god knows where the hell the manual is.

The icon on the F key should look like a laptop|a square.

I have a laptop that's probably closer to yours' age (Dell Inspiron 9100).
My F8 key has blue text: "CRT/LCD". That's what you're looking for.
