I might reccomend the 4850X2 as an alternative to your GPU. Only beaten by the 4870X2.

Just know you are going to need a PSU that can deliver more wattage if you plan on XFire'ing or doing SLI with those cards.
I think the ATi cards need at least 1K+?

In XFire?
650W for only 1. XFire needs 1K+ aparently.
Check out sysreq under specs.
Well, get a 4870X2 if you can get the cash.
You already have input devices set aside at home?
Do you really need a velociraptor? I'd go for more storage, but thats just me.

Just saying, though. Cut out the velociraptor, get a slightly larger HDD instead of the 640 [unless you really don't need that much space] and use what is left over for anything else that could be upgraded.

| Drop the velociraptor, and get a 4850x2 and a 4850, crossfire them. The 4th GPU in a CF setup doesn't do much, but 3 should scale well.

Don't get the raptor, their loud and you don't really gain any preformance.
Either get DUAL 640GB in raid 0, which is faster then raptor, or as I suggest, just get the singel 640GB.
