Only for static IP addresses.

If you're on a dynamic IP over a LAN gateway (router), then you'll have to reconnect the PPPoE line from the router settings.

or if that doesn't work, restart your router (turn it off and on).

unplug your router over night and then plug it back in and it should do the trick.
