ok so i got it and i activated and all that...but it won't let me burn any of my dvd-r's they're all completely blank so idk what's the problem

maybe because your dvd-burner cant burn dvd-r's only +r's?

mm i think the cd is the problem...

what dvd you got? i know memorex is famous for this type of problem thats why i only use sony for dvd and memorex for cd's

This might be a stupid question, but is your DVD burner capable of burning DVD-Rs? Or is it only compatible with DVD+R? What kind of DVD drive do you have?

yeah i remember trying to get my laptop to burn DVD-RW i almost threw it out of window but then i looked it up and found its only DVD+RW compatible

yep next time read the book that came with your computer i know i dont read those either but im sure you can go back to the store and change those for different ones

The vso burning layer might be playing up. I would personally convert the film, and then burn the resulting folders (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS) to a disc using something like Nero... or other dedicated software. That will turn out the best results. Also, make sure to try and booktype the burn to DVD-ROM to increase compatibility (dvd-rw drive permitting).
