|
|
Well since my last thumbdrive and external HD broke because of my little brother I am looking to buy a new one.
For an thumbdrive I would like to have these or near these specifics.
-4-16GB
-Some kind of built in security.
-Must be under 110 USD
For an external HD I would like to have these or near these specifics.
-150-350GB
-Fast transfer rate.
-Must be under 110 USD
Any recommendations would be greatly accepted and thank you in advance.

The HDD is nice but as to the thumb drive it is nice and cheap for it's size, it just doesn't come with built in security like I am looking for. Take example they have to put in a username and a password to see even the folders that I have on the thumb drive.

I have only seen things like folder lock not something that hides the folders also the old thumb drive I had after a certain amount of failed logins it would reformat the drive to delete everything which was not a problem as everything was backed up online. A program or or a thumb drive like that would be nice.

My suggestion is you buy a harddrive and an external case... Much much cheaper!
Also, if you want FAST transfers, avoid USB. Go for USB2 and eSATA(eSata is only on high-end computers/semi new computers)...
USB is just plane slow.

If you know much about hardware, open up your computer and see if you have any SATA openings... If so, get an external hard drive with eSata + USB2...
