I was just finished creating a wireframe hack for a game called BioShock (DX9, not DX10 as I don't have Vista). I've created many scripts in Cheatengine and ported some of the memory hacks over to C++ and coded Direct X memory hacks with the wallhack. I thought it would be cool if Cheatengine had a Stride Logger for Direct X 9/8 or even both. The Stride Logger would be in the Direct X - Mess and would allow users to accumulate strides of models in a DirectX game.
I tried adding it myself but failed miserably trying to port some attributes from a current stride logger into the project.

I'm not very active in the direct3d hacking part, but isn't a stride just the length in bytes of a entry ? (e.g horizontal texture width in bytes, single vertex width in a buffer )
How useful is it compared to comparing the buffer that is actually used for something recognizable ? I imagine strides being the same on multiple different objects _________________
