Using only windows:

Right-click on the 'My Computer' icon (desktop or start menu) and click properties. That page will give you info on the processor and memory. You should double-click on my computer to see info on your hard-drive and optical drives. You can then you go to the start menu, choose the run command, and type "dxdiag" without the quotes. This will use the directx diagnostic utility to give you more info on your graphics system, such as VRAM.
