Just ask yourself, are you really going to get 2 video cards?
If no then go with a P45 board.

Uggh, nvidia.

Unless you're a die-hard nvidia fan, it'll be much better for an Intel board with crossfire instead. I'm assuming you're going to be using crossfire/SLI because you mentioned the 2 PCIx16 slots.

Nvidia chipset was plague with problems they have never seem to get a
fix for it: RAID problems, random blue screens, and their nv firewall is a complete joke.

Overall they're chipset are unstable, therefore it up to you to decide
you want a car that goes really fast with no brakes then go ahead, but for the rest of us we would rather go with a car that's slight slower and if something goes wrong at least we have brakes to stop in time.

As of now it's not about pricing, it's about how solid a chipset is so

STABILITY>SPEED

I'm not sure about the 780i, but the 790i is supposed to be incredibly stable.

790i ultra SLI motherboard is right now the best motherboard out it's meant to overclock ANYTHING you throw at it. Slap so SLI sticks of ram in there get up to 1800MHz each channel. If your looking for some crazy stable motherboard 790i is perfect. People knock nvidia but that's because they do not have true experience with it. Go 790i it beats anything and it will complete your overclocking needs Very Happy

I'd also like to say that nForce supplys the 790i ultra to companies like EVGA XFX and all that... 790i will and always will be better then anything you guys pull up for the fact it's been fixed to the point it's almost perfect Very Happy

There is a few known bugs but you can still do some massive overcloking on this nice Motherboard. But if you want to 80% no problems go 780i temp Very Happy
