It'll be auto-recognized and if you have done any previous overclocking with different RAM settings and all, you may want to change them now to what is compatible with the new RAM sticks, like, if your previous memory clock was lower and now, you have a higher memory clock, it'd be better to change some things to get a better potential and more stability, I suppose.

Open up your chassis/case, remove ONE RAM stick and see if the problem is solved. Run your system for a while and if the problem goes away, good job! If it doesn't, rinse and repeat for each RAM stick until you find the one that's misbehaving.

If both of the RAM sticks are misbehaving, I think the only solution would be to replace it. Sorry. And also, try placing them in different colored slots (Mine have Red & Yellow RAM slots, although, this depends on your motherboard, so check the manual or something).

Good luck! Smile

If you have four 800Mhz's and one 667Mhz, every ram will lower its speed to 667.

Also, you don't even notice the difference between 667 and 800 Mhz at your rams. The only thing which will increase is like, 5 points in 3djoe. Rolling Eyes
I'd say be happy with your 4gb+ ram at 667Mhz, don't make attempts to increase it to 800, when you won't feel any difference.

The only reason I'd do it is cause of over clocking.

If you have HyperX memory (Kingston) then it will automatically be changed to 667 on first boot..

Happened to me when installing my 1066Mhz RAM
Then I did some research and found out that it's automatically changed to 667Mhz on the first boot..

It's going to match your FSB if you're running a 1:1 divider.

The only thing you have to look at is if the BIOS set the voltage and timings correctly.

That means you're running a 1333MHz bus at a 1:1 ratio. You don't need to run the RAM any higher nor will it be utilized unless you're overclocking.

I will check on that, and for the rest: I never overclocked before and never will in my life, cause i know what will happen, and yes it\'s Kingston (they\'re the best)

Ok. What will happen? And there's nothing really bad about overclocking, as long as you do it in a proper manner. Think about the cooling within your chassis/case & monitor the temperatures.

P.S. Is the quote thing fucking up?
