I feel my PC is really crap, I was wondering if I could get any help on what I should update to run smoothly on online games without lag (MapleStory). Here's my PC stats.

RAM will help. 1GB+ and it should run good. Better CPU too.

By the looks of your specs, I don't see why your comp would lag while playing a small game like MapleStory.

Try to rid of some system processes that you won't be needing while playing (like startup processes) or change the priority of MapleStory to High or above normal to increase performance.

Alternatively, you could purchase more RAM from your local PC Shop for around $50 to help solve your problem.

I don't even really lag, it's just that I lag when I AC in the game, plus I'm pretty sure I need more RAM.

Ok, well thats your problem.

Turn the AC to a lower speed or get one that doesn't use too much CPU usage.

And yes, 500mb of RAM is pretty low these days for a computer to run on.

I want to AC faster, which is why I want to upgrade my computer to run faster, and I'm almost certain it needs some work.

Your problem is that what ever Program your using to AC is taking up to my CPU usage. What you can do is that you can do Disk Fragment that should take a good amount of the things your CPU is using and doesn't really need to process towards your Rams, Because your CPU using RAM Memory , and Physical Memory . Which can lag by having a lot of crap you don't need. So Disk Fragment your computer or download CCleaner. That should speed up your problem. This is what i had problem with on my old computer .

Also just to improve basic every day to day game play . Just install a new Graphics card to get more FPS(Frams Per Second). This can also be your problem because when you use AC you make FRAMES come in and out of the screen at such a rapid speed your Graphics Card can't handle . So try and do Disk Fragment first , and try CClearner . If this doesn't work just by some rams that fit your computer DD2, DD3, DD4 all depending on what your computer handles .
