lets see who got the highest overclock and stayed alive for longer than 30 minutes XD not to mention what toolz you used and what kicked your ass about it. |p XD

Cool i have a constant(non while warcraft) overclock of 4.2 ghtz by 4 by 30
, something about thats 80 ghrtz. i use rightmark clock speed utility(unpaid) 18kfangui, and game speed adjuster bootstrapped by macro to run before windows so it lock on to windows.

Highest overclock I've achieved was on an E2140. 4.32GHz stable in Windows, 4.73 was the highest I could get it to post.

Pretty damn good from a 1.6GHz chip.

On a DFI p-965s dark

The stable OC was 539x8, that's about the most that board will take.

My highest overclock is 4,6GHz with my current comp, unstable as hell and I didn't dare having it on more than 60 minutes.
(FSB = 460, multiplier = x11)
Overclocked it in BIOS.

Spec:
gigabyte p35-ds3r
intel core2duo e4500, 2,2GHz, standard. (Running at 3,4 stable atm.)
Ultra-120 with a Noctua 120mm on it.

you adjust the speed your hardware works at and the voltages that it uses
of course, doing so you void warranty and risk permanent damage (if you're stupid/clueless)

and a good amount of the time, if you buy the computer you cannot overclock.

Also, i think i am going to work on a 5.0GHz+ project. I saw a video where they used liquid nitrogen cooling. I'll see what i can do. First i'll see which CPU gets the highest OC capability and try it with liquid nitrogen.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4GHz standard) overclocked to 3.64GHz. I use an Asus Silent Square Pro cooling block in a Antec Nine Hundred gaming case. I have two BFG nVidia 8800GTX OC2 768MB cards, both overclocked by +10% frequency on the GPU, shader and memory clocks. Memory is 4GB (4x1GB) of Corsair Dominator XMS2 EPP PC2-8500 4-4-4-12 memory overclocked by +20% using my board's AI Overclock utility.

Pretty beefy system Smile

Last time I overclocked was the Socket478 P4 era.
3.0GHz -> 3.8GHz, stock fan, which ran for about 1-2 years. Didn't bother adding voltages :p
