God gives and takes away, take for instance my friend who is very wealthy, he had all he wanted, all the money and all the fame. He would buy a lot of stuff but it would never satisfy, lately his sales have been falling down, he had to sell his house, his bmw, and a lot more, but now hes spending more time with his family/friends, he's also spending a lot more time at church and stuff.

God wants a perfect world in heaven obviously, he doesn't want people who say "Hey, i'll believe in you if you give me a free spot in heaven" he wants people who actually believe in him through all the hard-ships because that actually makes your faith stronger and it makes you a true believer.
