I deleted my last thread, due to lack of interest. Going for another one, hoping for better luck. Here's my question:
- Is it possible for a hotmail account to be deactivated, but still be able to use with Instant Messenger (WLM) applications?
It's a long story, you see. Help is appreciated. ~ Mmm, I hope I wake up to some answers.
-> Clarifications:
- What I meant by 'deactivated' is that Windows Live Mail 'deletes' your account after it hasn't been used for a while.

Okay. On a side note, does anyone have a really old Hotmail account they don't use? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

You might want to freshen up on what 'retarded' means, and use it in it's correct context. I wouldn't of minded if you said my question was stupid, but calling my question retarded, was, well...I question your intelligence.
Plus I came here to learn, not be insulted by the questions my mind imposes. Please provide me with proof that my question is "retarded" and I will reconsider my state-of-mind.
I just need an old hotmail account to see if my little theory thing works.

If you don't user your hotmail account within a specified period of time then it will automatically get canceled. But if you are using the name for your Windows Live Messenger services then the account won't be canceled as it's the same as your email.
To permanately cancel your account, you'll need to create a new one.
Maybe you can try a .net passport?

Thank-you kls85 for your insightful post. I even have proof to back it up, as my friend has an old hotmail account, and tested it out for me. My problem is solved for the time-being. Now all I need is to learn how the Microsoft Network works.
