I downloaded the version form the official site. But i dont think the problem is with the software but the problem is in the hardware as i have a yellow mark (!) on it in device manager.

The yellow mark may indicate that u havent installed the drivers.

I tried the one for winxp but it didn't work. Nor does the one from the CD work(it used to work)
