I'm looking for a good game developing engine.
Here are just a few things that i need, a bare minimm.

Easy to learn/Use
PHYSICS!! Gah! I need ragdolls and physical objects.
The 4 screen map making thing (with the top, side, and front view, and the 3d preview)
Programmable (yeah some engines didn't let me make scripts to use.. lame)
Something with examples of game already made.
First Person Shooter capable

But out of all of those I definitely need Physics and firstperson shooter style. Physics and ragdolls are just soo awesome to me.

I need answers quick please. I would like to get to work on my idea for a sandbox game.

Thanks!

You're an ass.

3D Game Engines, I DON'T recommend it but it's really easy.
If you want 3D games with really good physics then you need to learn C++ and deal with it, otherwise your best bet for making non 3D games would be flash hands down.
You can get INCREDIBLE physics engines for flash and there is no limit to what you can do with it.
It's got awesome graphics too.
I also suggest you learn it now because when the new version comes out next year (Flash MAX) it will support 3D models as well as alien codes like C++ so it's just going to be THE program to have.
And as always, you can get great tutorials here.

Good luck, PM me if you need help.

Have you tried 3DS Max? That's pretty good for ragdoll physics, and things like that not sure about games though, but you could try it, you're asking for alot though.

Hey thanks guys!
I didn't expect to have my answers soo soon.
That flash thing sounds the most promising. I'll take a look at that.
I never really thought flash had physics. Lol! Well i guess that bowmaster would be an example. hmn. I hope flash is easy to learn!
Do I need anything to make stuff in flash? I know that sounds dumb, but im on my moms computer, and i cant download ANYTHING. Do I need adobe Flash ?
I was looking at the valve hl2 engine( or source engine or whatever.)
I KNOW that has awesome physics, ragdolls, and fps capability.

Thank you everyone.

PS: Cryoma, that dude with the hat and the freaky face thing, wtf was that?

yep for flash you need the program flash
but if you cant download anything how you think about programming anything? there are some langauges you need nothing for but they are harder i guess

@cryoma
OWNS creation kit is easy to use and without any programming knowledge you can amke any kind of game and even operating systems with it very easy but the program does not exist Sad

its just a joke Smile

Yeah, you can make .as files using notepad but without Adobe Flash you can't really do anything with them.
So the first step is to get a computer.

lol,k.

Hmn, where can I get adobe flash for free?
actually don't answer that, I forgot about that warez rule...
I'll just google it. lol.

And I forgot, I've got 2 motherboards, and all the parts to make a computer, BUT, when ever I put it together it doesn't work. So, I need help on that, but whatever. So i checked out that flade thing, that was fuckin awesome.I didn't think that was possible with flash. I was wrong.

Also, i've played with flash before, i made an animation, but the slightest things are soo confusing to me, like making a play button that would start the animation... So lol, I hope everything isn't much harder than that.
Lol i gotta get on my school work.

Anyone ever hear of 3d Game studio like a6 engine?
Is there physics like ragdolls in that? i cannot find it.

Lol Falcon Punch!!!

Well if you can get the Trial for Flash CS3 I can give you my Directors License which has unlimited installs so it's perfectly legal.
(Friend works for Adobe)
And yeah the only good ragdoll physics are in Gmod and Flash.

K cool, is the directors licence a code?
If so just PM me it.
And thank you. Very Happy
i'll see if my paperweight of a laptop can even begin to load flash, it's got like 500mb RAM, and not much space on it's hard drive, so it's essentially... a rock. A rock that runs windows 98...
lol.

Off topic(ish):
Lol i must agree, well mostly. I think other games have cool physics, well... mostly.. erm.. some games.. That forza motorsport is supposed to have AMAZING physics, like wind and shit. Halo.. err.. no so much i guess.. GTA4, i played that for 5 minuites, the pedestrians went flailing through the air when i hit them with the car. But over all GMOD kicks ass any day.

You could run it but if it is like Photo Shop CS3 than you may want to close all processes you don't need. I had 512 MB of ram and I could use PS well.

512mb can run it, it will just be slow when you export the final version of your game or whatever.
Also I'm not sure about 98, that's really old, you should get XP somehow (hint hint).
Oh yeah how much hd space do you have?
