No... Your hardware is pretty dated... and an SLI board costs atleast $100...
You may as well get a brand new setup.
Ask your parents, and if they say yes, tell me what price range they give you...
And do you want to build it yourself or buy a prebuilt?

Are you sure... You could get a new computer that would blow your current set up clear out of the water for around 400 dollars...
Edit: ah yes, leena, I haven't even considered the state of the other components from the motherboard frying.

Well, if that fired your mobo then your processor is probably fried too.

ur desktop turns on but the nothing shows on the monitor?
if that does happen u got the same problem as i had before.
ur motherboard has been killed.
so i went to microsoft store to get it fixed.i had to buy a new motherboard.
Quote: | while vaccuming i accidentally pulled out the plug really hard.
the computer wouldnt turn on even tho everything was plugged in tightly.
so i opened my desktop and stick things tightly again, it would turn on.
but the next day, the desktop turns on but nothing shows on the monitor.
so i went to the computer store, and they said ur motherboard burned. |
yeah soo thats what my problem was,
if u dont want to buy new motherboard i recommend u to get it fixed somewhere else, cause its lots cheaper.

Its your mobo, and possibly your CPU, this happened to me.
But on compaq, but it doesn't matter what computer you have...
