I was wondering how to find the pointer that point to a listing/table of say all the monster in a zone, or all your inventory, stuff like that.

from my understanding, lets say a monster normally has health, name, id

so in the table/list, i would assume it would have somehting similar:

id, name, hp, location
id, name, hp, location
id, name, hp, location
id, name, hp, location

when you enter a zone, all these info is in memory somewhere. How do I go about finding the pointer and then figuring out the offset.

do I just start finding all the infomation I can about one mob, then the next and the next andd try to peice all that together? or is there a way to freeze a set range and see what access it?

hmmm basically is to make id static. This can be done by dma to static code injection and perhaps pointer searching (although im studying it right now, seems to have found some weird things about pointers)

anyway after you make the id static just compute the offsets between id, name, hp, location
