I think i have a keylogger on my computer. When i open up the task list and cilck on processes, there are 2 firefox.exe. Strange???

yep. its a keylogger. -_- the person deleted all my email and changed my web browser address!!! How do i stop this?

i tried everything. adware and superantispyware. they all found the trojan and keylogger. i removed the virus but the computer is lagging alot now. i think the virus is still here. does the second firefox.exe have to do with the virus. whenever i terminate the process it reappears.

Scan your computer? uhh what is superantispyware? That in itself sounds like a virus :d

Yeah could also be that one firefox session had crashed. I'd also suggest to reboot and observe in the task manager what happens when you normally open up firefox. By default it should indeed just be 1 firefox .exe

google -> spyware doctor
google -> AVG Antivirus (Get the 30 days trial)
google -> Avast Antivirus

If you have a backup then run that, if not, just reinstall your OS and all your files will be deleted including virus. That's what I did (2nd option) and now my cpu runs fine.

I suggest removing superantispyware. It does sound like an infection all on it's own.

Get a free trial of Kaspersky, NOD32, AVG, etc. They will find it, and most likely nuke it.

Let us know what happens.

I don`t really know why peoples get trojans,virus,keylogger this days
dude if you dont want keylogger you should get windows vista,
vista prevents trojans,virus,spyware going to you,
ive been using windows vista for like 5 months already without any firewall,antivurs,
only my windows security,
but still,

i havent got any virus trojans not even spywares,
even i try to visit to virus website my computer just prevent them haha!
as you can see,
VISTA MEANS NO TO VIRUS

ohh by the way,
there is nothing you can do cure your computer now,
since the virus has already spread,
your only option is Reformat
=PP!!!

Supposedly (according to Wikipedia and PCMag), SuperAntiSpyware is considered to be a "trusted" anti-spyware, among others such as AVG and Adaware.

You don't need to reformat if you have only a keylogger. The majority of them won't spread; only recording what you type. Just download a free trial of an anti-virus/spyware suite and use it against the keylogger.

I don't think a keylogger would be able to change your web address, so you might have a bigger problem here.

Vista stops you from running uncertified programs, so that's why it's so "effective" (at least from what I remember).
