Shut down your computer
wait 30 seconds
turn it on again, and wait 2 seconds, then rapidly press F8.
You should get options when its done. Choose safe mode for just safemode, safemode with networking for safemode with internet, or safemode with command prompt for command prompt.
I'm currently running in safe mode, and I think it improved my computers performance. |

Doesn't that depend on your computer?
The 'F8' part I mean. |

Shut down your computer.... then wait 30 seconds....
Theres no possible way you could get to your login screen when shutdown as far as I know of... and you dont have to wait 30 seconds after its shutdown... my computer takes 7 seconds to shutdown. |

Or just shutdown ur comp in the wrong way (hold the power button, or just rip the psu cable off). It will ask you to run in other methods, like safemode. |

Why would you want to wait 30 seconds? |

A very little chance. But u are running safemode only when its necessary, not everyday...
btw metal, if u are using safemode, u will start Windows with a minimal set of drivers. isnt that negative? Ofcourse its faster, but if u are playing games, you will lose performance.
So not a good idea to use it as normal use. |

It's not a very little chance dude -.- Go "rip your psu" cord out every day for a week, then let me come over and laugh at you. Safe mode is only faster because it prevents several programs and drivers from starting. _________________

LOL...For me, I have to press the DELETE key, not the F8 key. Actually, it all depends on every different computer. _________________

I have never seen a computer that uses delete for that. Delete usually enters bios. |
