Hey ppl.
I have recently bought a mp4 player (doesn't play mp4 format).
The video format it runs is .avi.
I have found this java script that makes a little download as mp4 button but for youtube only.

This is pretty cool but.
1.Is it possible to download as an avi format?
2.Is there a java script or mozilla firefox addon or a recommened program that lets you download video's on all websites.
Real Player 11 can download but in .flv format which sucks.

Yes you can download in AVI format. Go google search for a program that will allow you to download, there are tons of them. Also you can download and then convert to AVI.

ehm how you want download something not existing?
if its uploaded as a *.asdfsdfsdfwretfsd file you cant download as avi

You can only download as a .flv from youtube.
just convert it after.

I use 'Download Helper' addon for firefox, then I convert it over to AVI using Pazera_Free_FLV_to_AVI_Converter.

total video converter can convert nearly anything to nearly anything and is freeware
