Need help. My mouse cursor sometimes freezes and i can't do anything about it. My mouse roller (to scroll pages) is spoil and the wire i think is loose since the insulator came off (inside the mouse). My mouse still responds by flashing the light under it (my mouse flash light when it senses that it have been moved). Everything will be fine after i reset my computer. Please help.

Try it on a different computer, if it still does that, then it is the mouse.

I'm 99% sure it's the mouse..
try enabling mouse keys, and see if you can still move with them after the mouse freezes.

A wireless one is generally going to have more problems then a wired one.

Actually laser mouses are a pain, they have stupid sensitivity, you pass one piece of lint on your desk and it goes crazy... which sucks on game like call of duty.
And eys there are mouse virus, it moves your cursor around like crazy... preventing you from clicking ok on virus scanner and such. Havnt seen one that makes sure that your keybaord do not work.

Why would translucence matter?

Because optical mouses work like bats, they launch off a ping of light just like a bat echolates.
If the pad is translucent then the light waves get screwed up and come back at strange angles, if at all.
This causes the cursor to dance.
Boogie woogie.
Tonight.

Some people like laser mouses, so thats just your opinion that they are a pain. Keep your area clean and you'll have no problems. As far as a mouse virus goes...never heard of one, never had one, can't see any point in making one, and I doubt that there are mouse viruses. Only a twelve year old that thought he was some sort of coder/hacker would make such a thing.

Also to continue your translucent idea...
ever tried shining light through wax paper? didn't see much right? Exactly the same with the mousepad. Light goes everywhere because of diffraction and it's hard to control.

Had this same problem myself, my mouse wasnt broken though. One day it did break and i got a new one, but that didnt solve the problem. I found out that it was my keyboard causing the problem(found this out after buying a new keyboard i wanted). I also noticed that occured after my computer had been running a while, but seemed fine during the first hour or so.
P.S: Did this start to occur before or after you broke your mouse? If it occured after id say you need a new mouse. If this has been occuring before it broke, trying playing a game and see if it messes up while you press keys, or happens at specific time intervels.
