I have a corrupt file of wiashext.dll. And when I try to use Winrar or anything having to do with Windows Explorer, the programs crash. Should I get a replacement of wiashext.dll or what else?

Looks like spyware to me....without looking up the .dll further.
Google it to see what app it belongs to if any...

I would extract it from your dll cache to your system 32 folder and register it in the system 32 folder
by typing in the run box

"regsvr32 $systemroot\System32\wiashext.dll"

or you can download a replacement from here

I would definitely do some scanning to try and find out what corrupted it and obviously scan the corrupt wiashext.dll to make sure its not a dodgy replacement virus file

edit forgot to tell you to unregister the dll after you deleted it and before registering its replacement with

"regsvr32/u $systemroot\System32\wiashext.dll"

This is weird alright, but Windows Explorer and Winrar no longer crash. But thanks for the suggestions...

google the .dll and download
