I personally like Kubuntu > Ubuntu, mostly because I'm too lazy to change the main color theme on Ubuntu to something other than that ugly non-exsistant orange color (mostly because I have Kubuntu on my laptop for when I feel like just messing around with stuff, or get bored).
I would use Gentoo, two of my friends are near gods with Gentoo (one of which wrote a kernal that was placed into the Gentoo distro, I can't remember exactly what it was, but I think it has to deal with video card compatibility or something to that extent. When I remember, I'll post what it was). But I just do not have the patience right now to learn all of the commands and everything needed to run Gentoo very well.
I currently dual XP & Kubuntu by the way.

7.10, the only other version I have on hand right now (which as you might know is the last STABLE release) shows the same phenomenon.
Ubuntu forums say either memory leak, or it's just thanks to linux caching stuff like crazy.

That's true, linux caches as much as it can to access the harddrive faster. Requires a lot of your RAM.

I will probably stay with XP Service Pack 2 because I just got a Vista transformation pack
But could someone point me in the direction of a Vista style mouse pointer?
At the moment I only have a white Vista style shaped one

Because he said that it requires 700mb+, which is not correct. (according to my experience of linuxes)
A more likely number would be 200-350~.
Also, argues != discussions

He has a damn screenshot, you can't argue with that. Stop being a retard and do a little research before you continue making ignorant posts.
Doing a 2 minute search:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=312387
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=758992
Read the threads and you'll see the problem is real, weather your ignorant brain is ready to accept that or not.

You will need to emulate/run a virtual Windows on the Linux computer. Then play the games in the virtual Windows.

Actually, there's an "emulation" program for Linux specifically designed for gaming, in full speed, and the support is pretty good from what I hear. You have to pay for it though unfortunately, and I forgot the name of it.
