a while back i heard that windows as going to discontinue XP in order to market the new product, Vista. now, here i am, with a vista... i dont know about you guys, but i dont believe that vista is any "simpler" or better. its actually very buggy. everyday i am bombarded with updates as well... well im glad they are working on it, but... anyone else have a vista problem? (also it cant play alot of the better games)

There aren't going to be discontinuing XP for quite a while, seeing as SP3 is in beta.

Maybe (and I hope) they'll support XP all the way up to Windows 7's release.

Go to the Microsoft website. As long as you have a legitimate vista serial, you can download XP for free, according to a few friends.
I'll try and see if I can find the page for you they were talking about.
EDIT: Downgrade rights. I'm still looking.

I think Windows Vista is not as good as XP.

The games that are capable of running on Vista are usually slower, because Vista has DX10.

It is? I thought it was slower in terms of performance, and only made games look better. But the performance charts didn't show a huge difference in terms of FPS.
Vista is like a stop that Microsoft added to refresh the market with something new, and make some more money at the same time.
