No, not really. Mines is actually pretty crappy. That will change soon though.

I just wanted to discuss something. The advancement of computers. Think about it. Every 1 or 2 months something really good comes out for computers. New bigger, better hard-drives, Graphics card, RAM, everything.

Personally I get sort of fed up. Lets say I just spend $4,000 dollars on a computer. Best of the best. I find out 3 months later it is outdated and I can buy new parts to update it. Why can't they just stop for a couple of months?

I know I will benefit in the end , having a better computer for cheaper. How far do you think computers can go in the future? I'm thinking of super laptops, since they always make things smaller and smaller. Think realistically. Not "Oh in 2015 we are going to have our computers in our brains!"... It might be, but I'm definitely not down for that. AT ALL.

It's a market, thats how things go.

Stuff gets outdated and gets replaced with newer, faster, more expensive parts.

Well if things stopped than they would just keep on upgrading... When you feel it is the right time, they are ready to release something 10x what you have now. So you end up with a peace of shit computer instead of a good computer....

Either way you are going to get fucked... My idea? Buy the BEST and FASTEST processor... Buy THE BEST and FASTEST graphics card... Buy the BIGGEST and FASTEST hard drive...

Then in about a year it will be outdated, but you can still run all the programs!

Seriously, this computer i have is 10 years old...

In about 100 years from now, technology will be so advanced that it cannot go any further. That is when things stops getting out dated.

I've always wanted to create a computer that has a bluetooth or a wireless moniter.

I really want to make a computer that I can put in a different part of my house, and access it anywhere with a wireless keyboard, and mouse. And have a wireless moniter that I can move if I want, or have it so that the computer can output to different TV's in my house.

Wont magnets distort the screen? I know that is how I ruined my old TV Smile

I think we are not even really going to count processors. Like dual or quad. They just came out with a 8 one. I know they already had these, but there going to make it commercial. Not just for really expensive computers. Well, not for a while anyways. Maybe in like a year.

I feel so outdated with my half gig of RAM and integrated graphics card. Not to mention my 1 core of loneliness.

magnets don't really effect LCD's.

but who needs LCD's?

OLED is the way of the future.

They said towards the end of the P4's life cycle that they were nearing the end of how far they can push CPU technology, now look at the CPU's we have , with far more advanced ones on the horizon.

Point being, there will always be some new technology that will make further process shrinks possible, new more efficient architectures, etc.

\The theroy of 'super small' laptops can go only so far. The reason computers and laptops have to be a certain size is pretty basic, who would want a 7 inch screen? And the keyboard would probably get too small to use. These are pretty much the same problems CPU's have. Ok sure, keyboards and mice get pluged in but they would look seriously out of proportion on your 7 inch screen. Sure, it would be cool, but realistacly.. it's a stupid idea.

im imagining projector monitors that don't need a suface to shine on. though i think i will become very difficult to make hardware change when the your desktop computers start to look like the apple air.
