I'd go for the Nvidia one, because I like Nvidia.
I don't know anything about either card though.

Me neither :/
I'm trying to help my brother choose a laptop (Bulding a desktop is not an option. Or anything for that matter) So I found some decent 800 dollar ones. There basically the same except one has a DDR2 3gig. The other one has DDR2 2gig.
So for 100 dollars more which one is better.
DDR2 3gig, 250G space, nVIDIA GeForce go 7150M
Or
DDR2 2gig, 250G space, ATI Radeon Xpress1270
Or can you guys just help me choose a better laptop from a store overall.
Also, another question. Is AMD Turion64x2 dual core proccesor good or does it suck?.. Any suggestions?

Not true.
It's the best for gaming. For overall use, ATi's are more preferred.

Actually with the release of the 3870x2 ATi has the fastest card now.
I have mixed feelings for ATi, their picture quality seems to be a bit better but I've had lots of issues with the drivers.
I'd say just go for the machine with the most RAM, chances are both video chipsets are pretty similar.

ATI had better picture quality for sure a while back.
The 8800's seem to have cleaned up their act though. You could turn off a bunch of the "optimizations" for the 7800's and you'd end up with a pretty nice quality gain, but obviously at a (strangely large) FPS hit.
I'd say it's pretty even lately.

| I would go with the 7150, with the 3 GB. An $800 laptop isn't exactly for gaming anyways.

If your more into MS, WoW and movies id say go with the ATI.
Overall it's more up to what you can afford.
