I have a laptop which boot.ini was corrupted somehow.

The CDRom drive on the laptop has gone bad, it won't even read CDs. I have tried installing an OS to a USB drive, and that failed(refer to other thread I made here).

So I went off to eBay to search for a laptop HDD -> IDE converter.

Found one for only $4. GREAT! It was shipped off and it just arrived today. But now it doesn't fit the HDD I have. -_-

Since it doesn't fit, I'd like to know WTF adapter I need to buy to use in my desktop PC. It almost reminds me of SATA, but there isn't a power connector.

*editttttttttt* Didn't notice you could pull that piece off. Just did and it revealed the 44pin connector >_>
