I have been using PCSX2 (PS2 emulator) to play a few game lately, and have been having some trouble getting CE to mesh with it.
PCSX2 comes it 2 types, one is "VM" (Virtual Memory) and the other one is called "TLB". I'm not sure what that acronym stands for. CE appears to work properly with the TLB version, however when I attempt to change or freeze values in the VM version the value resets to what it was instantly, and a freeze removes itself, removing the standard avenues of adjusting values.
I'm wondering why this happens and if there is a way through it that anyone knows of.

go to settings and enable kernelmode read/write process memory
Then open the process and you will be able to edit it.
thats how I made a table for FFX-1 _________________

What you said didn't work by itself, but it pointed me in the right direction. I also had to enable "Force memory to be writable in case the standard method is blocked"
