I installed 32 Bit Vista Ultimate on my laptop and my gaming desktop, and I have internet on my laptop.

I don't have internet on my desktop, yet the ethernet cable is plugged into both.. my laptop has internet and installed stuff fine, and I need updates to download games.

I tried downloading ethernet drivers to a jumpdrive but that didn't help.

Network Connections states that my cable is unplugged, but it isin't.

I have a Intel(R) Pro/100 VE Network Connection

And it also says I need an Ethernet Controller.

Help would be much appreciated.

So let me get this straight...

You have a connection on your laptop not the desktop, and you want to get an internet connection on the desktop?

If thats the problem, you probably just need the driver for your motherboard (will be called Ethernet Controller)

Go here, download that program to a flash drive or something, put it on desktop, run it, let it gather information, click Mainboard, post a picture up here.
