Typically you wouldn't need that much RAM...

While I will agree you likely have no use for 8GB RAM, you may want to consider a 64-bit OS. They've matured a LOT lately and you shouldn't have any driver issues or program issues. Only issue I can see so far is you can't hack with it, but VMware can fix that. Sooner or later you'll have to switch to 64-bit, and the sooner people start using it, the sooner the software companies will start supporting it more.

yea but i plan on buying a windows XP Pro edition, and i think im going to buy the 32-BIT...and if 32-Bit ever needs upgrading to a 64-BIT i can always get that from torrents and mount it to a CD isntead of buying a wholeeeee new disk

A 64-bit version is much harder to find pirated than a 32-bit version. I would just go for the 64-bit, and if you have any issues, which you likely won't, then torrent the 32-bit and run it in VMware.

32 Bit, there is relly no need to have a 64 bit OS, unless you are running a server.

Running 3 Anti-viruses that are scanning a 2 terabyte hard drive at the same time while 7 Fullscreen games are minimized on high priority.
