Ok i want people to let my friend know why vista sucks and xp is better....I would like for the people of this site to post reasons why it sucks

Quite frankly, its a matter of opinion. I, for once, think Vista is amazing.

well from what ive heard vista slows down youre computer but i doubt that.
I just used a trans pack instead of getting actual vista. Razz

It's his opinion that it doesn't suck, it's your opinion that it does suck, and we have our own opinion. Let him buy it and see for himself if he likes it.

its just been shown that XP is more stable and Vista, but with these SPs coming out, its just a matter of time until people realize its safe to convert.

vista sucks it slows down your computer because the graphics are too high and the perfomance is low for xp isn't there sp 3.

vista isn't too bad. it looks good and some factors are better than XP, and vice versa. i used my upgrade disc that came with my laptop to upgrade to Vista, but i had problems with little things that pissed me off, so i changed back to XP. if my WLAN didn't screw up on Vista, along with my laptop's hotkeys, which aren't really Vista's fault, and a couple more things, then i would have stayed with Vista. if you've got a good desktop computer i'd put Vista on it, but it's your personal choice.

btw my laptop isn't the greatest and i can't notice a real difference in the speed.

There are many reasons why Vista just doesn't cut it.

It's Insecure.

It's inefficient at emulation.

It takes up tons of system resources, due to all these flashy effects that Microsoft put in. Evidently, they're not very good at doing that without taking tons of resources.

It's incompatible with many programs.

It takes up more hard drive space to install.

You can barely run any games without them lagging horribly, due to how inefficient Vista is at handling emulated data and RAM usage.

It's actually MORE prone to viruses than Linux or Windows XP because of how insecure it is.

And that's about it. Linux is more secure, faster, more efficient, less RAM usage...etcetera. Vista is not the way to go.
