Neither of my screens ( a crt and an lcd) show the bios menu when i start up my computer, it just goes straight to windows... can anybody help?

well uh.. they are teh screens afterall.. they're not on teh actual motherboard nor does your os need it to boot.. why would it be in bios?

Sounds like the bios-vga connection is broken. Try to reflash your bios, it might help.

It's not suppose to show the BIOS when you start up, You have to press Delete when when it's checking your hard drives/drives and shit.

do you mean like it just shows a picture of your computer brand when you load up instead of any options to go into BIOS?

if that's the case like my computer try some of the hotkeys on that screen when the computer first boots, like f2, or del, or esc. or google what the key is for your computer.

but if that isn't the case then disregard this.

im saying, whenever i start up my computer, the screen doesnt show response until it is already loading windows...

yeah it's probably your monitor or something, just try pressing the button that goes into your BIOS settings, f2, del, esc or something, you should know.

try reformating or change the setup to disk drive first

its not the monitor, i've tried it on plenty of monitors.

and no, reformatting would not solve this problem


i need to get in the bios to change which video card my comp uses, integrated is shit.

Turn on your computer, Keep on pressing Delete, even if the screen is black.

If that still doesn't work, Pull out the 2pin Jumper next to your motherboard battery, move it one slot over on the three pins. Turn on your computer, Turn it off again. Put the jumper back where it was originally, I suggest use gloves.

the screen doesnt load anything before windows, and i've tried pushing f1/f2/del/esc and it just doesnt load on the screen, so i cant see anything.
