Did anybody ever mod halo 2 with a soft modded xbox and Action replay. I always wanted to, but I never got around to doing so, because I traded my xbox in for some money to help pay against the 360.

Modding isn't classified as hacking. Nor does this have anything to do with:
a.) Memory scanning
b.) Code injection
c.) Debugger internals
d.) Packet editing
e.) And other gamehacking related discussion.

Yes i would say it is, to mod a xbox/game to cheat is hacking.

If you have ever played Medal of Honor Allied Assault 1.0
The very first hacks for it where done in the pk3 files.
Alpha blending to make chameleon skins or glow skins you can see through walls.
This was done by "modding" the game files.
Then when it went to 1.11 you had to do it with opengl.

So yeah, it is game hacking. Anything to gain an advantage over another player or AI is pretty much what we do.

You only need a modded Xbox if you're created modded saves, not if you're just loading them.
