Been thinking about buying a laptop lately? Here's some good ones and bad ones. Some have been advertised as "leet gaming laptops", but in fact they're totally crap.

Hypersonic; leet brand, produces quality laptops, mostly gaming.
ASUS; maybe they're reputation hasn't been all that positive, but their products have been getting better and better.
XTREME; a company which is not that popular yet, but has a good price/quality relationship.
Sony; yeap, they're catching up!

Dell; shitty. Sure, a lof of people have them, but to be honest, they're a piece of crap. The only reason they're somewhat successful is because Dell was the first company to deliver customizable systems.
Alienware; used to be a kickass gaming brand, but they're now part of Dell and deliver rather awkward systems. I got my Aurora m9750, t'was a big mistake.
Mac; no. No. NO.
Fujitsu/Pegasus/Acer; nahh, not cool.
Got anything to add (laptops only)? Be sure to comment, or EXPRESS your personal thoughts. This is just MY list of what's good and what's not, opinions may vary. =]

Acer; They have wonderful value, overall, work great, and have enough bang for the buck to keep you happy.
Gateway; Stylish, well-known, nice value, decent parts, nice choices in their low-range area.

RAM upgrade is rather costly, but a decent proc (2.4Ghz) won't bring the price up too much, and still stay less than 1500. o_O

I personally like IBuyPower, Prices are pretty good and you choose what you want.
