| I did. The date stored inside rar describes the last modified filedate field in the file descriptor. Not when the .rar got created
Besides, there's dates of 2003 in there as well. If you went by the assumption that the filedate updates when the rar is created, then that would already show it's not correct |

| handles.pas is a third party sourcecode I didn't touch. It's responsible for the first trainer maker form editing
and firefight.gh is a cheat table for the "gamehack" tool. it's an example of CE supporting to load these kind of tables |

| ewilliams2248 If you look into the archive file (.rar) you can see that the oldest file in there is from may 6th of 2000 at exactly 2:53pm so that is your answer.
Wait... I may have found the very first source code of CE, the website that Dark Byte posted scroll all the way down and click the link that says Source code of last release. It is the very first version of CE to exist. Edit: You can thank me later |

| While I am at it, do YOU (Dark Byte) remember when you first released CE? I'm guessing there was other public version of CE before 1.3 but since there don't seem to be any public record about it, I'd be happy to know what you think was the year when you first made CE available. | |

I remember using CE since so long ago that I wasn't even sure whether it was "10ish years ago" or "20ish years ago", sounds more like 20ish years ago then! Is there anyway to donate to you or CE in general? It's about time I give back for all these years I've used your software.  |

I was doing some research about Cheat Engine but their's one info that I can't find: the initial release date. I've find some mention of Cheat Engine 3.x that dates back to 2003 but does anyone know the actual first public release date of CE? |
