|
|
I have a life address 0x00B05A2A
when the player touches the enemy a life is subtracted
0x00B05A2A was 3 but when touching the enemy it is 2
the instruction that writes this address is Quote: | mov [edx + Regen.exe + 6F5F20], bl |
Code: | 00409B0F - C1 E8 08 - shr eax,08
00409B12 - 88 82 215FAF00 - mov [edx+Regen.exe+6F5F21],al
00409B18 - 88 9A 205FAF00 - mov [edx+Regen.exe+6F5F20],bl <<
00409B1E - 83 C4 0C - add esp,0C
00409B21 - 5B - pop ebx
EAX=00000000
EBX=00000002
ECX=00000000
EDX=0000FB0A
ESI=00000002
EDI=000000FB
ESP=0018FC2C
EBP=00FFFB0A
EIP=00409B1E |
but this instruction writes in many addresses, and edx works as a pointer
if I change bl to ff the game gets corrupted because it writes ff in many other addresses
how do I find the direction of the instruction that subtracts life
I suppose it must be like that
mov ebx, [0x00B05A2A]
dec ebx

you compare registers or find an offset somewhere to compare your health with other things.
or you can break and trace it, to somewhere were you find a subroutine that only deal with your health.
from there you can whether move ff into your health address, or simply let it return to where it came from.

Addressing an envelope correctly helps get your letter to the correct destination on time. Many people don't realize that there's a "right" way to address an envelope; if it arrives at the right place, you did it correctly... right?
