Hello, i've just started to use cheat engine and i have a couple questions.
So basically i got my base adress to the data i'm interested in and wanted to observe a bit the data structure to get more interesting variables. The thing is, since i'm dissecting a dynamic adress, the moment it changes, all infos that i'm reading become wrong. Is it possible to dissect data from a multi-level pointer ? So that when i retrieve an adress 4 bytes after the previous one i get the multi level pointer with an offset of 4 more and not the dynamic adress that will change at some point anyway.
A little workaround that i started using was to copy paste the base adress and manually change the last offset to get other variables. It works fine but it's kinda slow.
Another question i have is is concerning the pattern of data structures. When browsing different variable from the base adress it becomes apparent that the data i'm browsing is an object (and not variables randomly put one after the other). So in case i find another instance of that object in another adress, is there a possibility to apply the same pattern to get the variables of that object ? (i might not be very clear, but for example the game i'm manipulating is a pokemon game. The data i'm browsing was initially the current life of the first pokemon and by changing the offset of the base-adress i can get his stats. So if at some point i find the second pokemon of my team, is there a way to automatically tell cheat engine to apply the same offsets to get his stats without having to do it manually ?)
I have next to no knowledge in assembly and scripting (couldn't do the ninth tutorial level for example).
