Cheat Engine

Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening moderators and members from this forum, I hope you're doing very well. I have a serious problem when I'm trying to install your program... I don't know what happened but before this issue, Cheat Engine was working perfectly, no virus problem neither compatibility (I have windows10). Unfortunately, two weeks ago the program stop working, no open and always show me this message. I uninstalled the old version and install your new version but keep me showing this error.


Any solution? Is it something related to your post on twitter about malware in your program? Thank you for your attention.

have you ever installed ccleaner or black ops 3? if so, they have damaged your system.
i do recommend reinstalling windows to fix your computer, but you can bypass this damage by renaming cheatengine-x86_64.exe to bla.exe and run that instead

Thank you so much Dark Byte, the second solution (rename .exe) that you recommended make Cheat Engine work again. My last question is:

Why CCLEANER or BLACK OPS 3, I have both installed long time ago, would damage my system? Would you recommend to uninstall both? Thank you.

both will mess with system files and regkeys once installed, uninstalling them wont get everything back as it was in past unless you made system restore point.
even system restore point wont bring back everything, its better to reinstall windows os.
