|
|
Yo, I've been trying to get the pointer for current health in the game Trove and i have pretty much zero knowledge of pointers except looking through some guides. So this is what happens:
1. I start the game and get the address for current health
2. I find out what access the adress, loose some health in game and get the offset (34c) and the suggested address by CE
3. I search for the address suggested by CE in hex in 4 bytes, where i find a static address.
4. I add it as a pointer with 34C as offset, and it shows the correct HP
So after this i restart the game and the pointer goes ??, but if i do the same procedure it starts showing the correct value at the same time i click find out what access to the new address found for current HP.
I've tried clicking find out what access this address on the pointer but it crashes the game.
Any help is appreciated.

instead use what writes to the address, then the addresses pointed by this pointer.
using what accesses this address might end up with many instructions writing and monitoring your address, the offset can be different from instructions that are writing/accessing.
if you dont want to waste your time, then go to pointer scanner option.

I did try using the pointer scan, but it makes my whole pc freeze for several minutes only to crash at the end.
I'm running a i7 3770k with 16gb ram 3200 mhz, so i dont think my system is to blame. I tried setting it to use only 2 cores aswell, but it still crashes at the end.
This is the settings i'm using:
gyazoDOTcom/fee51692eda0de3105efd6192731e32f
gyazoDOTcom/3c35449a9ef08a5380aec5ad6c831133

Okay, so i succeded with the pointer scan and found this base address: "iggy_w32.dll"+000B5874 which is working fine, in CE.
I'm trying to use this in Auto hotkey and i would need a static adress. Is there any way to get one from this?
