Cheat Engine

I just installed Cheat Engine 6.7 and am experiencing very slow debugging.
Pressing F7 to move through the code one step at a time results in over a second wait before the next step. I didn't see any settings that changed between 6.6 and 6.7. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have always experienced slow stepping (F7) on 64bit targets with CE.

I was using CE 6.6 64bit without slow step by step debugging happening.

And the game is Madden NFL 08, which is what I've mainly been using Cheat Engine to hack over the years without any problems.

Also, my system is Windows 10 64 bit.
