so i'm kind of a newbie here so cut me some slack if i say something stupid
and also english is not my first language so...ya.....well shit
to the probelm, im tryina find a base pointer in a game(the escapists) and i wanna do it menually without the scanner
so i find the value of what i want(Intellgent lets say) i verfiy that its really is that value and then i check what writes to it i take the offset and copy it to a notepad and take the other thing in the [ ] lets say esi in the [esi+04] which is a number that i take from below and when i search in hex for that number i get no results
so my question is where am i going wrongs? if there's anything else i didnt mention that you need to know im here to answer
please help because im kinda stuck here :\

What you did seems right, just to make sure you didn't get the wrong address at ESI,
did you get something like mov [esi+04],eax ?
lets say the address of value you found is = 01770EFC
and the ESI you found below
ESI = 01770EF8 <-- thats what you use to scan for the pointer
go and start a "New Scan" check Hex, and select 4 Bytes, (a must)
scan for 01770EF8
you should get few results with green color, usually it's the smallest one
what I get is 5FC630
go add an address manually, check "Pointer"
enter 5FC630 and key in 04 offset, it should point you to the current value address which is "01770EFC" don't forget to set show it as decimal to show your current value properly.

sorry for answering late but i did exactly what you said but when i search for the first pointer and some times i find a few addreses and some of them are green how do i know if i found the pointer i need or if my pointer is a higher lvl pointer like
how do i know how many pointers do i have to get trough to find a static address
like if i find a green address on the first search im done?
and also sometime i found and address do the add pointer and then when im doing "find out what access this pointer" nothin shows up even tho im changing the value in game and yes it does point to to the same value
thanks for replaying tho, i really do appreciate it
